Swinkle Swinkle Little Card!!!

Welcome to my VERY first Technique Tutorial....a little something that I literally dabbled my way into!!!  LOL

So what is Swinkle?  Stickles + Wink of Stella!!!

I'll post the tutorial and then my samples!  I hope it makes sense and you all like my sparkly technique!!

You’ll need cardstock, Stickles or Dazzling Details (or other glitter glue), Wink of Stella (I used White), a paintbrush and a heat tool.

1.      Cut your cardfront or piece the size you plan to use.  I used one to die cut some flowers and one for a background.  There are lots of possibilities!

1.      Drizzle some Stickles or SU Dazzling Details (or other glitter glue product) on your cardstock and use a paintbrush to brush it evenly around in a pattern you like.

1.     Then get your Wink of Stella white glitter brush and drip some on top of your glitter panel and use your paintbrush to again spread the liquid around so it’s even but in a pattern of some sort.

1.      Now get your heat tool and gently heat the panel.  It will start out curved because of being wet, but as it dries and heats up it will flatten out.  You control how much heat you’d like as you’ll notice the white will pop at first and then if you keep heating it will begin to disappear.  So the ultimate look is in how much you heat your panel.

1.      This is an optional step but one that gives you so much variety.  I dabbed a clean paintbrush onto my SU Blushing Bride ink pad and gently brushed some light strokes over the panel.

That’s it!  Now you have a background panel to use, or to stamp directly on, or to use for die cutting shapes!

Here's one of my projects using a this for a background.....

I made a little Hershey's Kiss treat holder using the cute little chickie from the adorable SU Salabration catalog, Honeycomb Hello.  She really pops against the sparkly background!!  A fun way to give two treats in one!!

For this card I used the Swinkled background to cut out the flower dies.  Yes, I do so love Crumb Cake and Blushing Bride together!!  All of the Stampin' Up!  supplies are listed in the scroll along the bottom of this post.

I do so hope you enjoyed this tutorial and please let me know if you use it so I can see the gorgeousness you create in Swinkle!!!
