Sweet Pink Christmas!!!

Smiley from Millan.Net

I can tell you I've ALWAYS loved this little image!!!  I was thrilled to find it's actually designed by Floppy Latte Designs and our sponsor this week at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog is the fun Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet which carries this!!!!

I printed it on a laser printer and then was able to color with my Copics.  Pink and snowflakes and a touch of glitter pen!!  This image always makes me smile and I think lends itself to being very much a pink Christmas girl!!!

Come on over to Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and play with us!!  This challenge is Anything Goes!!  Now you know you want to play!!

We Wish You A Merry Christmas!!!

Smiley from Millan.NetSmiley from Millan.NetSmiley from Millan.NetSmiley from Millan.NetSmiley from Millan.Net

It's a Pink Christmas post today!!!!  It's true I love Christmas in ANY color!!  But Pink...well duh!!  It's my favorite!!!  And if it's pink GLITTER??!!!   Swwoooon!!!

This is one of my favorite cards I made this year.  You know why?  YES!!!  Pink Glimmer paper!!!  One of the NEW products coming your way in just days!!!  I sooooo ADORE it!!  Of course!!  I used the gorgeous Wonderland dp to contrast the pretty pink sparkle!  And the Softly Falling EF is one of my faves for sure!!  I had a little snowflake charm because well, do I really have to admit all the little things I have in my craft room??  LOL  Having a blast with these Holiday Greetings dies and the glimmer paper!!

So how about a little tip so you can get all the pretty layering you like, if you're like me, but not use up all your glimmer paper to do it!!!  So here you go!!  Just cut out your layer to the size you need, this one is 4 1/8 x 5 3/8.  Then I took a rectangle die that fit closely enough and used it twice to cut out the inside pieces so I can use them for other cards and then I still have what looks like a full layer on my card above!!!  VOILA!!!

Yes a few more days and a few more Christmas cards to come!!!  Hope you all are having a fabulous week!!!!

Dashing Through The Snow!

Smiley from Millan.Net

Yes, I have been on rather a Christmas card-making roll.  But then I do love making Christmas and winter cards all year round.  It's the snow addict in me!  LOL

I really never got into the habit of sending many Christmas cards out however, and the ones I do are all unique.  Only one year ever did I make a stack of identical cards to send out.  Although I just may be tempted again to do that with my MISTI!  Stinkin' love that tool!!  lol

But for now....here are a couple more of my Stampin' Up Christmas designs...

Maybe I should call it "Glitter All The Way"?  Heehee!  I used both the White and Silver Glimmer cardstock along with the Basic Black and Real Red.  Really it is a simple card and layout.  Again my favorite Sleigh Ride Edgelits, this time the sleigh and a little sliver of the silver ribbon that coordinates with the Jingle All The Way stamp set.  Topped with one of my faves again...yes I know, but I do so love those wooden snowflakes!

My tiny little Christmas tree display in my craft room is my staging for my photos for now.  Methinks it just might be a permanent staging that changes colors and designs with the seasons.

Here's another

I do so love ribbon and bows!  I wanted a more masculine design.  Yeah, yeah I know.  But seriously I don't get too masculine as most of you know, so this will have to suffice!  lol  The Winter Wonderland Vellum is so cool and it's reversible!  I saw the gold stripes but they weren't quite working for me, so I turned it over and VOILA!  Silver stripes!  The black cardstock just adds a little depth and masculine feel.  This ribbon is really easy to work with I promise!

I've got some homemade gift ideas coming soon...so stay tuned!  And also a great giveaway on January 1st!!  Meanwhile....I truly hope you're all enjoying the holiday season!!!

Oh Christmas Cards! Oh Christmas Cards!

Oh you know it!!  I do so adore Christmas and with the snow piling up here on our mountain and the woodstove crackling away most days it's just heaven to sit in my craft room and make Christmas cards!!!!

Now here are some of this year's creations using my Stampin' Up! addictions!!!  LOL

The Embellished Ornaments stamp set and matching dies are soooo pretty!!  Especially when you use the dies with glimmer paper!!  It makes CAS cards really pop!!!  I actually made card kits with this design....but I have to get them put up in my Etsy shop!!!  LOL

Supply List:
Stamps: SU Embellished Ornaments
Dies: SU Delicate Ornaments Thinlets
Paper:  SU Whisper White, Basic Black, Red Glimmer Paper
Ink: SU Basic Black
Accessories:  Twine

Now this card uses the MISTI!!  And it really, really is the Most Incredible Stamping Tool Invented!!  I was gifted this by my amazing Boss Lady, Lydia Fiedler!!  It was a very special and appreciated gift when I had hand surgery a few months ago!!  It helped me immensely!!!  I love this Wonderland stamp set and this card uses a cool, new technique using the MISTI that Lydia came up with!!  Here is the link to the tutorial:

Splitcoast MISTI Marbling Technique

Supplies:
Stamps:  SU Wonderland
Paper: SU Whisper White, Basic Black, Passion Pink
Ink: SU Pink Pirouette, Rose Red, Passion Pink
Accessories:  Twine

I made a little set of 4x4 gift cards using the Flurry of Wishes stamp set.  And the snowflakes were stamped in pink to contrast with the blue dp.  I seriously could make an entire PINK christmas house!!!  LOL

Supplies:
Stamps: SU Flurry of Wishes
Paper: SU Whisper White, Night of Navy, Season of Cheer dp
Ink: SU Night of Navy
Accessories:  Ribbon, Pearls

More Christmas cards to come!!  Hope you are having a fun and creative holiday time!!!  If you see anything you'd like to learn more about please feel free to ask away!!!

October PINK - Splitcoast's Hope You Can Cling To!!!

It's OCTOBER!!!  That means a special month of amazing and fabulous card challenges, bringing awareness and support to those battling breast cancer.  All of the cards and then some that are entered into these challenges (hundreds and hundreds) all get sent directly to cancer patients and their loved ones!!!  Have I said again how much I LOVE October at Splitcoast??!!!

Come on and join the fun here:

Here are just a few of my cards so far....can't show the rest until the challenges go live each day throughout the month!!!  LOL

This one is for Lydia's challenge to make a card representing our least favorite weather.  Yep....I don't do heat...so cute flip flops it was!  Retired There She Goes stamps.

Dina challenged us to use our hands...so I made little fingerprint chickies and an adorable sentiment from Verve.

Lori challenges us to make a fun card with a "split" and a sentiment!  I didn't even use stamps for this one!

Now Kathy challenged us to use a native or camo theme and this little MFT cutie fit the bill perfectly!!

Paula has us using an image that isn't colored or has just a tiny bit of color!  Now that was a bit of a challenge to not color the whole thing!  LOL  These Lili of the Valley cuties still look cute uncolored!

Hope you all are having an AMAZING Fall!!!

Stay tuned since some FUN changes are coming to my blog......and soon!!!!

Light It Up Blue For Autism Hop!!!!

Smiley from Millan.Net Smiley from Millan.Net Smiley from Millan.Net

Hello and welcome to the Light It Up Blue For Autism Awareness Blog Hop!

We have so many fantastic sponsors that have shown their support for Autism Awareness and you can see the complete list here:

http://lk2thestarz.blogspot.com/…/the-light-it-up-blue-for-….

If you would like a chance to win a prize from one of these fabulous companies leave a comment on this blog, and any of the other blogs participating in today's hop! Winners will be chosen at random and will be announced on Monday April 6.

I was very happy to be asked to participate in this Hop....I've had many friends and some family touched by Autism and have been intrigued and very happy to see some wonderful progress made in both diagnosing earlier and helping with the challenges those diagnosed face.  Most recently our cousin's little boy was diagnosed and able to start a program designed to actually help re-train the brain.....so very exciting to see the progress!!

Now here is the card I created for today's hop!

I pulled out a retired Gina K. Designs stamp set that actually was designed to promote Autism awareness a few years ago.  Since blue is the color that identifies Autism awareness, I went with a monochromatic card.  The cardstock is Gina K Powder Blue and I used Memento Sky Blue Ink.  I had the little puzzle piece charm that I bought long ago to go with this stamp set but had never actually made a card with it.  You gotta love having a crafter's stash of goodies, right?  LOL

You'll want to grab a lovely cuppa of your favorite beverage and check out the main link I posted at the beginning and hop along to see all the amazing creations designed just for this special hop today!!!  And enjoy!!

Virtual Stamp Night.....Challenges and Creativity!!!!

Smiley from Millan.Net

It's here again....it's so fun to play along and get creative with challenges I haven't tried in a while (or at all).....or stamps that don't get used often ( do NOT even ask as I will never admit how many stamps I own and how many are yet uninked!!).....or just giving free rein to my imagination (now THAT could be a scary place! lol).

Click on that link at the top to go to the VSN Forum and find all the details and challenges and probably a few folks to chat with!!

Here are a few of the cards I made for some of the challenges...............

This adorable dragon is a digi I found.....I love all things fairy and dragon and search high and low for images that are my style since there are so many types of fairies and dragons.  This little guy is one of my FAVES!!!  I colored with my Copics, then used some liquid applique for those marshmallows he's roasting!!

Now THIS cutie is also a digi!!!  Misti (Scraperwannabe on SCS) was out visiting me in January and we discovered this fabulous Digi Shop......2 Cute Ink!!!  OMGosh so so soooo adorable!!!!  This little guy even made it simple for ME to do a masculine design....and yet still have my details and embellies!  LOL

And this is one of VERY favorite Darling Divas by Debbie for Gina K.  Now how could I resist making a pink, girlie, glittery winter card??!!!  And gingham....and pearls....well, you get the picture!!  ;)

Ok so what are you all up to this weekend?  We have some warmer temps....in the 40's to 50......and the HUGE piles of snow are slowly turning to mud!!  LOL  Sounds like a good plan for me to stay in and stamp!!!
