Gina K. Designs.....Patterned Paper is Sew Fun!!!

The Design Team for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to a Patterned Papers are Sew Fun blog hop. For this hop we will showcase the fabulous Gina K. Designs Patterned Paper line, stamps, and some fun sewing techniques! The DT Members have all used the wide variety of stamps and paper in this hop to inspire you to get inky too!! Come play along with the Current Challenges at Stamp TV!!!

If you came from Giovana's Blog, then you're right where you should be. If not, please go to Stamp TV  where you will find a list of all those participating.

For my card I used Tami's cool set, In Stiches............

Since I'm not so great at sewing.....although I really want to work on that......Tami's set helps me cheat!!!  LOL  I stamped one of the straight stitch borders and then put the little chocolate pearls in between the stitches.  Now....I was supposed to also highlight patterned papers...and we have a LOT of gorgeous DP that Gina and some of our other Illustrators have designed!!  But I was getting ready for hubby and I to go away on our anniversary trip and forgot that part of the challenge!  Ha!  And I use patterned paper so often...wouldn't you know this time I make a CAS card!  LOL  But I did use my favorite Pure Luxury Innocent Pink and Chocolate Brown combo and I used the sentiment from another of Tami's sets, Happy HeartsThe Scor Pal makes for a quick design with some texture.

Now hop on over to Lori's Blog for more Gina K. goodness!!!

And stay tuned for some sneak peeks for the next Gina K. Designs release which is on May 31.....and some super fun and new and exciting news from Gina and Stamp TV!!!!!

What a great CAS design Lee and love how you added the pearls on top of the stitch border image!

Love it Lee! I love pink and brown together, especially with ruffles and pearls! You're a brave girl to make a true confession! Truthfully, patterned paper would've covered up all that fabulous scoring! :)

I don't sew either so I think that cheater set is perfect for me too. Guess that will be added to my wish list. I really love your card and how you proved that even a non seamstress like me can do great artwork with stitching.

Happy Anniversary. Love the simplicity of this card. Your colors are gorgeous and the stitching with the chocolate pearls gives it bling. Hope you are going somewhere you will love.

I think that the scoring makes the card. It is like using the patterned paper that you missed. Pink and brown, one of my favorite color combos.

Is that a texture folder or did you do the grid yourself? I really like it.

Brown and pink are so cool together. I really like the scoring on the card and the pearls. You are sweet to confess that you "messed up" on following the directions... but I love your card, so I'm okay with it all.

Your card is so pretty. I like the subtle raised pattern of the embossing and the little row of pearls under the ribbon. It reminds me of a cherry chocolate! Yummmmmmmyyyyy! :D
Hope you and DH had a great Anniversary getaway! Sounds like a good thing to do. :)
