Gina K. Designs Inspiration Hop Day #2..........Celebrate The Season and Home Is!!!

YES!!!!!  Summer is over....our weather is cool and my thoughts turn to snowmen!!  LOL  So how could I resist the cute snowman in Theresa's new set, Celebrate The Season....

Paper: Pure Luxury White, Smoky Slate, Lipstick Red

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Copics

Accessories: Versamark, Sticky Stuff, Glitter, Twine

I do love my glitter! LOL  I used one of my favorite techniques!  After stamping my snowmen and coloring them, then I take the Versamark pad and make sure to "ink up" the entire panel evenly.  Then sprinkle some glue embossing powder, Gina carries the Judikins Sticky Stuff.  Make sure the entire panel is covered and then tamp off the excess.  Use your embossing tool to heat it up until it's shiny and sticky.  Then sprinkle the loose glitter over the entire panel, making sure to cover it completely before tamping off all the excess.  Voila!  That's it!! It's such a fun look!!  And yes...a bit messy!  Good thing my hubby doesn't mind a glittery hug!!!  LOL  Just a bit of silver twine and then the 2 colors to match my snowmen, Pure Luxury Lipstick Red and Smoky Slate.  Give this technique a try and see how fun it is!!

I decided to do some fun paper-piecing with this set....I love paper-piecing....but I tried something new in paper-piecing my entire card and creating a scene with dp!!!  I used the cute Jillibean Soup Dutch Mustard and My Minds Eye Fly A Kite.  Pure Luxury White and Sweet Corn were great for tying all the colors together.  Of course I had to put some Chocolate Pearls in the flower centers for that touch of bling!!
