For Carla's card I chose her Green, Brown and Ivory color challenge found here:  STVCOLORCS1   I love that color combo!!!  I used the fun Enjoy The Sunshine STV Kit.

 

For Melissa's card I chose her funky sketch here: STVSKETCHMS5   I used the new fabulous Basic Grey Pyrus and Theresa's Fanciful Fall stamp set.

For Brenda's card I chose her inspiration here: STVINSPIREBT7  with the wonderful butterflies!  I love butterflies and used the delicate one  from Theresa's Hope Grows stamp set.

For Giovana's card I chose her challenge here:  STVXMASGS7  to use embossing plus the color pink!!  I sure loved this challenge!!  I used Melanie's new and very sweet Buds And Vases stamp set here along with the BG Olivia dp.

For Linda's card I chose the challenge here:  STVBLASTLP13  to use our favorite technique and my technique I chose is Copic Coloring which Gina shows here:  Copic Coloring.  I couldn't resist using the adorable Farm Life designed by Gina!!!

Stamping For Breast Cancer Awareness!!!!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Splitcoast Stampers is hosting special daily challenges benefiting UT MD Anderson Cancer Center.  You can read about HERE.

Here are just a few of my challenge cards using some of my favorite stamp companies!!!!  I'm keeping up with the daily challenges and all of them will be sent along to the Cancer Center for the card drive at the end of this month....it makes me feel so awesome to be a part of this!!!

This card uses the new Gina K. Designs stamp set called Buds And Vases designed by the uber talented Melanie!!!  Yep....lots of pink!  LOL  Pure Luxury Innocent Pink that is!  And Basic Grey Olivia.  I couldn't resist paper piecing with plaid!  And Copic coloring the flowers.....LOVE my Copics!!!  And of course I gotta layer those Fancy Tags and use ribbon and bling!!  LOL

This card uses Flourishes stamps Fight Like A Girl.  I love the sweet little dress and sure wish I could fit into one of those someday!!  LOL  The challenge was to make a flower.....so I used some wired ribbon that was pink with some gold edging and just kinda "smooshed" together a flower!  LOL  And Bittersweet Basic Grey is still among my favorite DP!!!  And every girl needs pearls......chocolate pearls are the best!!!

This card uses two fun Kits Of The Month by Unity Stamp Company!!!  The challenge was to use the paper piecing technique, something I really enjoy!!  I thought I'd make a super bright and fun card.....lots of red and bling!!!!

Oh and such cute House Mouse mousies to color!!!  I do love my House Mousies!!  I used Flower Soft...or should I say "Flour" Soft!!  ROFL!!!  Yeah, cheesy joke...that's me!!!!  I also used some Crystal Effects on the measuring glass to make it shine!!

Can you believe there isn't any stamping here??   This was a FUN little set to make!!!  The challenge was to create something inspired by lingerie.  What is more inspired than actual lingerie???  LOL  I found a fabulous tutorial on the very talented StampOwl's Blog.  I used Basic Grey DP and some fun trim!!!

Gina K. DT Challenge.....Techniques!!!!

Welcome to another DT Challenge Hop with Gina K. Designs!!!!  The Design Team was challenged by Gina to choose a Background Technique shown on Stamp TV.  I had to try out a new one to me, so I chose  Stenciling With Impressabilities.

I used the Snowflake Impressability Plate.......you all just KNOW how much I LOVE my snow!!!!  And I'm thrilled we're finally back to almost winter up here!!!  LOL  I used Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Ink and Memento Angel Pink.  Since I love layers.....I used Nina's newest Lovely Labels 2 also in the two ink colors and layered them using the Label 14 Nesties.  I used Pure Luxury Cardstock in White and Innocent Pink.  Now the ribbon....ohhhhh the ribbon......I DO so love ribbon!!!  Well, I recently saw some beautiful ribbon embellishments and I attempted to actually follow a tutorial for one.....yeah, well, you see, ummmm......I think I went through about 849 yards of ribbon all for naught!!!  Sheesh!!  So.....I thought to myself......."Self....you can make something with ribbon without a tutorial!!"  So this is my attempt!!  LOL  I just picked up a needle and thread and VOILA!!!  I did have to pop the snowflake background layer up to fit the ribbon though!  LOL

Happy Anniversary to "Just Us Girls"!!!!

A big Happy Anniversary to the J.U.G.S. Challenge Blog!!!  I love their challenges and definitely need to play along more often!!!  They are a very talented and fun group and keep inspiring so many of us!!!

It's a special Anniversary Sketch Challenge and Hop.............check it out!! Here's the Sketch:

I used the absolutely adorable new set by Gina K. Designs called Funny Farm!!  And yes......I DID glitter up my barn and trees!!!!  But does that REALLY surprise any of you??  LOL  I used Pure Luxury Cardstock Chocolate and Sweet Corn and Basic Grey Max & Whiskers.  I have never met any Basic Grey that I don't immediately fall in love with!  I lightly sponged blue for the sky and green for the hills.  Rhinestones are from Kaisercraft and the Stitched Ribbon is Gina K.  I really had fun with this sketch and will defnitely use it again!!
