Limelight Sketch and Prize..........Pearls Pearls Pearls!!!

Are you ready for a sweet little sketch and a PURTY PRIZE??!!! Well join us in this Limelight Papercrafts Sketch Challenge with a product focus on PEARLS!!! This can be the Kaisercraft self-adhesive pearls, Liquid pearls, pearlescent paper....etc.

• Paper: Chocolate Chip, Neenah Solar White, Pretty In Pink, Bittersweet dsp
• Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
• Accessories: Shimmerz, Brads, Ribbon

Now I usually would have taken this challenge to just SLATHER my card in pearls!!!! Wouldn't I??!!! LOL Soooo........I challenged myself instead to do something different..........so I made my own pearlescent cardstock by painting Shimmerz all over the white cardstock!!! I used the Pink Blingz after I stamped the flower images on it. I painted one thin layer all over it and then added a second layer in spots so it would be just a shade pinker in some areas and add a bit of depth. And still no pearls along the bottom!!! LOL I used some of the chocolatey brown brads in the Bittersweet Brads pack. Which of course match perfectly with the Bittersweet Paper!!!! The flower image is from a new Gina K. set, Friendship's Garden.

It's Saturday!!!! Which means another super cute and fun ETSY Inspired Challenge!!!! Check out the shop Ashley picked for us, Opalescence. Some cute jewelry caught my eye.........this mermaid got me in the mood to use the brand new Gina K. Designs stamp set, Guiding Light by Rupa. It's such a wonderful seaside stamp set perfect for masculine cards!!!!

LOL I love these butterfly flowers........aren't they precious??? Soooo.........since it was MY birthday and I love pink and brown.........and glitz...........that's what I made!!!!!!! LOL Yeah, I know........what's my reasoning the other 95% of the time I use pink and glitz????!!!! LOL

I picked the adorable Bee Mine pendant for my inspiration as I'm just LUVIN' these cute Little Buggers by Unity Stamps!!!! I just wanted to sparkle this little Bee up as it's going to a friend's little girl!!! And she loves PINK and BLING!!!! A girl after my own heart since my own DD decided she likes the Clean And Simple style!!!! LOL I used my new Nesties....I am lovin' all the cool shapes!!!!

Cottage Rumble #5.........Getting Sketchy!!!!

It's time to RUMBLE!!!!!!!!!!! Yep............Clear Artistic Stamps Cottage Rumble #5!!!!!!! You can check out the In The Cottage Studio Blog to see all the DT creations and get some mojo flowin'!!!!! LOL

I used the Sketch as is.......but feel free to flip it and get creative if you'd like!!!

Here is my card..........I really focused on the Flowers and Sentiment from Sympathy Garden. I love how the sentiment is curved and can easily be used with my Nestabilities! I just used layers of designer paper and similar colors of Shimmerz to color my image. Of course I had to had some bling!!!! LOL

LOL Mandy carries so many wonderful Unity Stamps!!!! I used some Rub-ons for the sentiment circle.......a little more of a collage-type feel to it. Mandy has some FABulous Rub-ons at Limelight.........some seriously GORGEOUS Basic Grey ones that will be in my hands SOON!!!!! LOL I used some Stickles.....of course!!! And some Kaisercraft Mint Green Rhinestones and Pewter Pearls just 'cuz you can NEVER have too much bling!!!! ;)

YUP!!! My fellow Coloradans know..........April is often our snowiest month!!! We had a beautiful Sunday snowstorm.......over a foot of snow!!! It's a beeeeeeeautiful Saturday!!! Which means another FUN and FABULOUS EtsyInspired Challenge from our adorable Ashley!!! She picked Misspottery's ETSY Shop for today. I loved many of the floral designs and soft pink that I saw!!

I really did keep this card very simple!!! Are you surprised?? LOL I just stamped 2 Daisies from the Gina K. stamp set A Year Of Flowers designed by the talented Melanie Muenchinger (yep, I got to meet and spend time with her too!!!!) and then cut them out, colored them very lightly with Pink Pirhouette and Niji Waterbrush. I used the AWESOME Pure Luxury cardstock Gina carries!!! I added some Shimmerz to the centers. Just a bit of cuttlebugging and ribbon and hardware......VOILA!!! A simple card for any occasion!!

I felt like making some cute Unity Wearables!!!! LOL So out came the Shrinky Dink and earring backs!!! This is from the AD-OWL-ABLE set Be "Owl" Mine!!!! I used the sentiment from the January KOTM. I colored with Sharpies before I shrunk/shrank/shrinkied them!!!! LOL

Belli Challenge #62.................Sweet Stuff!!!

Who doesn't LOVE treats????!!!! Okay, well, there might be a few out there...........but PLEASE don't tell me!!!!! LOL As you've probably guessed by now..........this week's BELLI Challenge was to make a treat holder...........okay, well, technically Chrissy challenged us to use Cello Bags.........but I mean really.........there is but ONE NOBLE USE for a Cello Bag, is there not???!!! To hold sweet treats!!! ;)

I made a little Triangle Box using Cammie's Triangle Treat Box Tutorial on SCS. It's sooooo simple!!! I LOVE Cammie.....and how creative she is!!! You know I got to meet her IRL!!!! I used a piece of designer paper, so it does tend to bow out just a bit on the sides. Of course I also filled that little Cello Bag up pretty full of jelly beans!!!!! LOL Well, I stamped the super sweets from Mix Up Of Cuteness by Unity Stamps and of course also had to Stickle them up!!! LOL Added some of this delicious Ruffle Ribbon and some Kaisercraft Rhinestones. You'll find these gorgeous embellies at Limelight Papercrafts!!! That's it!!! Super easy and a cute little gifty to hand out to the kiddos!!!

Limelight Six Chicks Project Day..............A Unity "Green" Day!!!

Happy April 6th!!!!!!!!!! You know what that means???!!! It's the Limelight Papercrafts Six Chicks Project!!!! This month's theme is to celebrate Earth Day!!!! So focusing on being GREEN!!! It actually CAN be easy being green!!!! LOL See?? Kermit was trying to teach us long ago lessons we'd need for today!!!

So here's my Earth Day project...........with a GREEN theme and especially for kids!!! I used the ever so perfect Unity Stamps Eco Chic kit!!!! A fabulous gift from my amazing friend Carolina!!!! Have I told you how much I LOVE it Carolina!!?? THANKS!!!!! I put some fun things in the basket.........well, first of all, the basket is green if you couldn't tell!!!! LOL And green garden gloves, some seeds to plant, some garden tools (obviously to be used with the help of an adult!!), a water bottle with some granola bars for energy, there's a fun green drink mix with gummi worms (well, sometimes you really just gotta have sugar to keep ya going!!! LOL) and a little clay flower pot that I stamped. I used one of the Unity Tags that come with the amazing Handles to make a little alterred tag to hang on the basket. Here's a close up of a few items.

Here's the card......I stamped the tree onto some shrink plastic and cut it out with a Nestie. I colored the plastic with Sharpies and the other images with Copics. I used Bronze Rhinestones and Mint Green Rhinestones. I swear I have every color that Mandy carries!!! LOL

Here's the little clay pot.........I stamped it and then colored the images with Golden Wheat Shimmerz, Spiced Cider Blingz and Celery Shimmerz......Mandy carries Shimmerz and Blingz, including some BRAND NEW colors at Limelight Papercrafts!! I'll be ordering some more as those brand new colors are calling my name!!!! LOL

I made a Hanging Treat Box from a template on SCS..........I originally had a little kiddo water bottle in the basket, but the hanging treat holder was too long!!! LOL It was super easy to make, I'm working on scaling it down to fit the little bottles for kiddo gifties!!! I put in some healthy granola bars to help offset those Green Peeps!!!! LOL

It's Saturday...............you know what that means???!!! Time for the Fun and Fabulous ETSY Inspired Challenge!!!! Our very sweet and talented leader, Ashley, has chosen such an adorable and whimsical shop, LaurenAlexander, as our inspiration for this week!!!

I chose this cutie patootie owl as my inspiration piece.........WHOOOOOO can resist an adorable owl???!!!! LOL Oh come on.............you sooooooooo knew there was gonna be a corny pun!!!!

  I broke out one of my brand new Unity Stamps kits for this one!! I have been waiting for just the right time to ink up Be Owl Mine and this was it for sure!!!! I cut out the branch and used brown liquid applique on top to make it look more realistic. And had to add a few gems and a bit of Stickles!!! LOL Now take a good look around this adorable shop and play along!!!! The shop owner, Lauren, is offering up one of those cute pendants as a prize!!! So here's a card I made for one of the Hip Hop challenges..........it was a 3x3 challenge..............3 or less colors and 3 or less layers..............all I can say is................I TRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I tried...............I really, really tried!!!!!!!!!!! LOL I think I was traumatized by last attempt at CAS, so now I just can't...................do.................it!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL I used the super adorable Beach Days & Sun Rays kit!!! I love it!!! I used some Microbeads for the sand and popped up the umbrella and the sun. Of course had to use some Stickles and Dew Drops!!!!

I'm missing her quite a lot, and so hope she enjoys this!!!

Now............as much as I LOVE the Sunshiny Spring theme for today................we had a big blizzard a few days ago and we just got MORE snow last night with more coming Friday!!!!!!!!!! LOL Yep.........that truly **IS** Springtime in the Rocky Mountains!!!!!!
