Well, this card is a snuggy and cozy card made with the Nov. House Mouse SOTM. I used the sketch from House Mouse Monday Challenge Blog . I've been having so much fun making winter cards, that I thought I'd make a winter card with a *twist*.......that is using fun floral dp and pastels!!!

Now this is for the Etsy Challenge #17 for this week!!!! Find all the deets on Ashley's Blog and then play along for a chance to win a wonderful prize!!! I used the Gina K. Just Beclaws stamp set. And then some flocking for "sand" and CE to make those crabs all shiny!! And it was my first time using the Black Magic Coredinations cardstock.......I LOVE it!!!! I crumpled it up and then the gorgeous aqua color peeks thru all the crackly lines!!! You can find Coredinations at Limelight Papercrafts.

This one I made for Etsy Challenge #16........but I didn't get it e-mailed to Ashley in time.......I was so proud of my attempt at a NON-stamping card........but then I goofed and didn't get it in time to her!! I'm truly a dork sometimes!!! LOL I sent this card to the sweet and precious little 5 year old girl who has just requested cards for what will be her last Christmas. You can read about her here on Lauren's Blog. Get your box of kleenex first.....and remember her in your prayers!!

This also went out to a family that you can read about here on Andrea's Blog. A sweet little baby girl who was premie and having some ups and downs sure could use some happy thoughts and prayers also!!! Happy, Happy Wednesday!!!!!! I hope you all are able to find some peaceful and relaxing moments this week!!!!

Sooo........hubby and I are still at the hotel in Denver. He's just crazy busy at work......so I've spent some time with one of my very sweet sisters-in-law......truly I am blessed with my hubby's wonderful family!!! I also got to have lunch again with one of my awesome Splitcoast PIF friends!!! Hey Alison!!!! And I've enjoyed some fun stampin' time!!! This first card was for the SCS Featured Stamper challenge. I just love my House Mousies ya know!!! The ribbon is Gina K.'s Pure Luxury Holiday Ribbon..........and I LOVE it!!!!!

This mousie card was made for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge #47........I'm certainly gonna try to play more in these challenges as I soooo love her sketches!!!! And of course WHO doesn't love cupcakes???!!! LOL And how can I NOT use the FABulous Basic Grey "Cupcake" paper??!!! YUMMMMY!!!

And I got this sweet and adorable Tilda image from my wonderful friends and some very fun gals on the PIF Thread on SCS!!! We have waaaaaaaaaaay too much fun I think!!!! LOL It's basically a big ole image swapping group!!! And I needed a quick card for a fellow PIF'er who's in the hospital........this little Tilda seemed so angelic and sweet I thought she'd bring a smile with her hugs!!!! I followed the sketch from the SCS Sketch Challenge from this week.

Hip Hop Hangover............is DEEEElicious!!!!!

HIP HOP!!!!!! LOL!!! Yep..........it's Friday and y'all know what that means!!! It's Hangover from Hip Hop!!! Actually this is a HHHH............a Holiday Hip Hop Hangover!!!! Hence........the dancing holly!!! ;) Ohhhh the specials at Unity Stamps.............oh my you have to check them out!!! And they're good thru Friday night!!!! This card was for the Wednesday Unity Addicts to make a monochromatic card. I decide the Mega Tea Cup would make a yummy big ole cuppa latte and be perfect in browns and cocoas!!! This is Papertrey designer paper.....yummmy!! The sentiment is from Impression Obsession. And the Chocolate Pearls I got from Limelight Papercrafts are soooooo awesome!!!! I'm totally addicted and already need to order more!! LOL I didn't get to the other Unity Hip Hop challenges because I was working on this:

YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!! Edible Unity!!!!!!!!! Okay, well, edible cookies with Unity stamp designs anyway!!!! LOL So on the Unity SCS thread, Tanis posted this cool project, Springerle Cookies, and then challenged any bakers to attempt it!!! Well.....................I just ***had*** to try!!! Now..........2 important things here that you simply MUST bear in mind.........1 - I have never made Springerle before and 2 - I have never stamped on cookies before!!!!! LOL So..........I give you permission to laugh!!! I sure did!!! I sooooooooooo obviously need lots more practice!!!! Especially in the "painting" of the stamped designs!!!! I used images from both the August and November Unity KOM!!! I bought some Shimmer Dust in the cake decorating aisle and tried to follow the directions.........well, ummmmmmmmm......I think you can kinda, sorta tell what I was going for!!!! Here's what I learned........I need a tinier paintbrush, I may need actual Luster Dust that the recipe called for, I need to be patient and let the cookies set for 10 hours before they bake like the directions said instead of 2-3 like I did, AND........I need to roll the dough a bit thinner. Well.........they're different anyway!!!!! LOL What do y'all think????!!!!

This card was a double challenge card..........for Limelight's Sketch Challenge and for the Belli Challenge #45.

And my card won!!! I won the Limelight Sketch Challenge and won.............get this...........PINK PAISLEE GLITTER!!!!!!!! I mean seriously.............could there BE a better prize for me???!!!! ROFL!!! I love it!!!!!

And can you tell I'm sooooooooo enjoying my Label 1 Nesties???!!! LOL Ohhh and the Aqua Mist color by PTI............yummmm!!!!!! I also discovered that my Horizon Green Copic marker matches soooooooooooooo awesomely with Aqua Mist!!!!! I'm a happy girl!!!! Throw on some glitter and some new Candlelight Shimmerz for the flame.............and I'm in heaven I tell ya!!!!! This is for my SOTM group........I do hope they like it!!!

1. I am addicted to 80's music!!!! And my teenagers love it too!!!!

2. I love the Muppets!!!! I do........especially The Muppet Show!! Remember those?? I'm now collecting the DVD's as they come out!!!! Yep.....got my kiddos lovin' them too!!!!

3. I am an insomniac........okay, many of you probably already know that!! LOL But I really enjoy the time to create and also spend some special one on one time with my insomniac DD!!!

4. I don't like cities!!! ***gasp*** Did I lose any of you??? LOL I really don't like crowds and traffic.......but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE shopping and going out to eat.............so I ***brave*** the city so I can indulge!!!! ;)

5. I love road trips!!!! DH and I have always taken road trips........stuck the kiddos in the car and just took off somewhere!! In the early days of our marriage when we were broke.....we would just put the tent in the back and pack some food and still get to enjoy a road trip and lots of wonderful State and National Parks!!!!

6. I am easily enabled!! LOL Should I have let y'all in on that secret???!!!!!

7. I'm a sucker for a happy ending!!! If it doesn't have a happy ending I do ***NOT*** want to watch, see, hear, listen to or about it!!!!! LOL I happily live inside a little fantasy world of my own making!!!! ;)

Okay..............I'll tag ANYone who feels like playing along!!! Now I gotta finish packing hubby and I so we can head to Denver for our free 2 night stay in a wonderful hotel downtown!!! Hip Hop Hangover....and Wintery Greetings!!!!

Well Hip Hop!!!!!!!!! So didja pop in at the Unity Stamps Hip Hop on SCS yesterday???!!! Huh, huh????? Didja???????!!!!!! LOL Yes.........it's FUNNNNNN!!!!!! I won a prize again too!!! Besides.........we're all a Supercalifragilisticexpialadocious group of stampers to hang out with anyway!!!!!!!! Okay, I sooooo do NOT want to hear about mis-spelling that word!!!! ROFL!!!!

Well, I've been making some Altered Journals lately for gifts.........I decided I wanted to alter the one I've been using!!!! Don't I get to have a pretty and fun journal???!!! You bet I do!!!! And this stamp, Leave A Trail, is one my DD and I picked out together that really has so much meaning for the two of us as she just turned 18 and is starting out her own unique path in life!!! I'll be making her a very special journal using this sentiment also............but without the pink and bling!!!! LOL

I know it's kinda hard to see........I don't know why my lightbox was being so irksome and uncooperative............at least that's MY story!!!! I'm sure it couldn't have been Operator Error!!!! ;) I hope you can click on the picture and get a better look-see!!! I made these earrings using my favorite shrinky dink film and my AWESOME Butterfly Beauty kit!!!! Yep........I surely do {{{heart}}} this kit!!!!! I colored them with Copics, although I will say you have to color very carefully with any markers on the shrinky plastic since it loves to come off on your fingers before you shrink and heat set it!!!! LOL Ask me how I know!!!! I just made a little earring holder type card with the Create Yourself stamp and some cardstock.

Well, we actually got out of our driveway today!!! We got over 16" and I got the SUV stuck in a ditch trying to go pick up dh who couldn't make it up our road in his 2 wheel drive car. Well.............DS had to come rescue me on the ATV and bring me back home..........that was a wee bit of a chilly ride home!!! LOL But my awesome, strapping 16 y.o. son drove and mama got to duck behind him so he took the brunt of the weather both coming down and going home!! Poor guy!!! I'm so proud of my teenage son!!! He's such a wonderful and caring young man!!!! So dh actually made it to a friend's house from church and our friend brought him up to the house in his jeep!! They're letting our car stay there until we can get it!! Gotta LOVE the Colorado Mountain Winters!!!!! I'll leave you with a gorgeous photo my DD took of the sunrise after the snowstorm!!!! Yep..........that's why we live here!!!!

Shimmerz, Glitter & Bling.........OH YEAH!!!!

So how's the weather??? We're in a Blizzard warning and expecting up to a foot of snow between tonight and tomorrow!! Hubby had to work in Denver today, so he'll pick up any last minute groceries, etc we need before we're snowed in!!! And then we'll just be all comfy and cozy!!!! Got the woodstove goin' and plenty of firewood!!

So it's sure easy to be in a wintery mood for card-making!!! LOL This one was a combination challenge. For the SCS Limited Challenge to make a monochromatic snow card using some glitz and for Kim's Blog challenge to make a snow card not using the color blue and using some glitter. Well OH MY!!!! Seriously............you mean I'm being TOLD to use glitter and bling???!!!!! Well, shucks!!!!!! Of course I just ***HAD*** to obey!!!! LOL So why not try green?? I've never made a green, snowy card! And I had this pretty green metallic paper....I love cuttlebugging metallics.........such a great look!! So here's my card titled, "It's Snow Easy Being Green." LOL............gotta love a muppet reference!!!!!!

I made this for the EtsyInspired #14 Challenge sample...........check out all the info on Ashley's Blog and please play along!!! I used some waaaaaaaaaay cool Unity stamps!!!! I used the birdie from the November Kit of the Month. And the Bounded Hearts stamp. I used some Blue Stickles on the birdie and then some Candlelight Shimmerz I bought from Limelight. I LOVE Shimmerz!!!!!! I love them..........yes I do!!!!!!!! I do have Twinkling H2O's (of course I prolly have ANY item that shimmers or "glitzes"!! LOL)........and I do like them, but they are more muted and a bit subtler than Shimmerz!!!! I'm glad Mandy keeps them in stock as I most certainly WILL be ordering more colors!!!!! LOL

Ohhh isn't this new Diet Sophie cute??!!! I'm sooo addicted to Hanna Stamps Riley/Sophie and have nearly all of them!! I have the newest ones on the way here too!! Riley in an SUV and Riley in an RV!!!! Well, this Sophie card was for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge. 'Cuz Sophie knows that extra pound or two came from her love of cupcakes!!! LOL And who can deny that??? Cupcakes are YUMMMMY!!!! And this is just more delicious Basic Grey dsp!!! I finally remembered my little clear alphabet stamps so I can make up some fun little sentiments!!

Well, I'll be doing some more creating and probably more fun snowy cards with bling since that's the mode I'm in!!! LOL And I've got some happy and wonderful RAKs to share soon too!!!!!

Hip Hop Hangover.............In Sparkles!!!!!!!!

Well, YEP!!!!!! It's Friday!!! And that means it's Hip Hop Hangover with Unity Stamps!!!! I was really only in and out a few times today as I had tons to do around the house and Voice Lessons with DD.......but I made hubby drive us as our road is awfully treacherous in the snow!!! Well.......it's no secret that I totally LOVE this Dream Tree!!!! To which my friend's little boy would say, "then why don't you marry it??"..........and then crack himself up no end!!!!! Now I would like to point out that I did NOT make this tree monochromatic with matching bling..........aren't you amazed??!!!! I made it MULTI-colored with matching bling!!!!!!!! ROFL!!!! Okay, I'm sure I totally just cracked ONLY myself up.........but there ya go!!! The sentiment is from the kit Simply Said. There are wonderful, everyday sentiments in this kit!!! And this fun Basic Grey dsp........another addiction it's true........just happened to go perfectly!!!

This one I made for the Hip Hop Unity Shout Out challenge.....to make a sentiment or phrase the focal point. This is another new Unity stamp (ummm......yes, I have a lot that haven't seen ink yet and another box on it's way........I have an addiction......it is NOT my fault!). LOL I used just a **little** bit of Stickles on the swirls around the image, Bounded Hearts.......I CAN use restraint sometimes ya know!!!! LOL Oh and more fun Basic Grey paper!!! And more gems..........yes, more gems!!!! I do NOT wear much jewelry at all..........most of my Bling Addiction is in my crafting!!!!

Mice and Cookies!!! And Trees!!! And Snow!!!

LOL...............I'm lovin' our snow!!!! It's just so pretty!!! Although having my DD experience her first drive in the snow and traffic that turned a 2 hour drive into an 8 hour drive was a weeeee bit nerve-wracking!!! But she did so well and made very wise decisions, including calling a friend to stay the night with and wait until morning to come back home and keeping in touch with us throughout the day! Awww..........she turned 18 on Thanksgiving and certainly is growing up!!!

Well, I'm sure LOVIN' the House Mouse Monday Challenges!!! And this Monday was a Glitter Challenge!!!!!!!! Could I have ***ASKED*** for a challenge more suited to me???!!!! LOL I mean seriously!!! I am SUPPOSED to use Glitter!!!!???!!! So I used another of my new Mousies!!! Mice Snowball..........and how perfect is snow for glitter too???!!! YEP!!!! I totally had a FABulous time!!!

Ohhh do I love Melanie's Have A Cookie stamp set!!!! I decided to practice my Copic coloring skills by making my own dp............and yes..........I still need more practice!!! LOL But I went over these cookies with 5 different colors and finally got most of the lines out!!!! LOL I also couldn't resist making a little cookie charm with some shrinky dink film.........I just love making these little charms!! I also am sooooooooo loving the Pure Luxury cardstock from Gina K!!!! It is indeed soooooooo smooth and I had no bleed through with the Copics!!! You have GOTTA try this!!!!!

Now this is my first attempt at making a whole scene card with the sponging technique. I used Gina's Tree Silhouettes. And it really is like looking up my hill on an evening!!! I also just had to add a little shrinky tree charm as a sentiment would just cover too much of the card!! I have soooo been in awe of my wonderful and talented friend Theresa Momber!!! Oh you simply MUST go check out her blog and gaze at all her wonderful cards with the most beautiful sponging technique ever!!! I want to go take lessons from her!!!! LOL It is certainly no surprise that she was asked to join the Gina K. Senior Design Team along with Cindy Lawrence. And yet another of my fabulous and gifted friend Donna Baker who recently joined Gina's Senior DT. And my awesome and very sweet friend Carolina Buchting is In The Spotlight with Gina K. for December!!! I am soooooooo excited for this upcoming release on Dec. 8!!!! Mine is an Inspiration Challenge. This is a photo of my "front yard" so to speak. I love the look of a fresh snowfall........so pristine and glittery and sparkly!! Here's my sample card. I used the new Gina K. set Tree Silhouettes. It's just lovely and embossed in white on the black cardstock gives it a true "snowy" feel!! I can't help adding embellies......and barely contained myself from adding more to the "empty" corners!!! LOL I hope you all enjoy this challenge and I look forward to seeing lots of entries!!!

12 Days of Christmas, A Tag and A Kiss!!!!

Yep...........it's that time of year!!!! LOL And Mandy and Limelight Papercrafts are celebrating in a big way!!! It's a super fun version of "12 Days of Christmas" with creating, fun, games and prizes!!!! It's Day 1 today so check out Lisa's Blog My Little Creative Escape to begin the merriment!!!! Oh and I've been Tagged.......I think by a couple of people a while back that I forgot to do!! OOOPS!! And just recently by my friend Barb at Explore, Dream, Discover. I am to post 7 random facts about me............let's see.............there are soooooooo many and yet...........my DD isn't here tonite to point them ALLLLLL out to me!!!! LOL

1. I actually stamp every day........well unless I'm sick or we're out and about.........but if I'm home I get some kind of stamping or coloring images time each day! It's "my" time!!!
2. I always have tv, music or a loud fan on in the background. I've had tinnitus ever since I was little and canNOT stand the horrendous ringing in my ears!
3. I am arguably the most disorganized "organized" person I know!!! LOL I really LIKE things totally organized and in their proper place....but having a lack of shelving and space and having teenagers who soooooooo don't cooperate forces me to actually NOT be as organized as I'd truly love to be!!! A study in contradictions am I!!!
4. I am a cookie monster!! Yes......any cookies (almost!) LOL. That's why I really was even MORE stoked than usual at Melanie's latest stamps........how can I NOT love this set of Have A Cookie Stamps!!!!??? LOL
5. I love snow!!!!!!! Sorry, I know y'all know that.............but I just LOVE SNOW!!!!!!!
6. I'm not ready for my kids to be grown up!! I suppose I'm not alone there, am I?? I just want them safe and protected for a little longer!!! Okay, forever..........but I know that's not gonna happen!! LOL
7. I have had some of the BEST experiences of my life since I started stamping 2 years ago and blogging 1 year ago!! You all have become amazing friends and such a special part of my life and I'm incredibly thankful for you all!!!!!

Okay...........now here's a KISS!!!!!!! LOL I am part of Ashley at Heart Hugs Designs Etsy Design Team!!!! Yes it's a blast and I was soooooo thrilled and honored to actually be a part of this unique and fun little group!!!! Ashley picks out an Etsy Shop each week for some inspiration and we'll post what we come up with. Then she'll post all the DT creations and EVERYONE is welcome to play along!!! Usually there is a really awesome and cool prize to win, sometimes from that very Etsy Shop!!!! So hop on over and see what it's all about!! This week the Etsy Shop was Morgan Street. The super yummy-looking and fun products as well as some very tasty yummies too!!! I tried a template by Renee O. as posted on Splitcoast for this little Chapstick Holder. I used the delicious Sweet Stack DCWV dp and the Kiss from the Unity November Kit of the Month. I made it for my little 4 y.o. niece!!!!
