Ready For Winter????

I am!!!!! Okay, Okay............I really do plan on enjoying Autumn for a little longer first!!! LOL But where we live, we'll have snow very, very shortly!!! So I got into a cozy, comfy mood on a chilly evening a couple nights ago.........and pulled out the very first Gina K. stamps I bought!! I sooo love winter, so of course her winter-themed stamps just called my name!!! LOL

And I am sooooooo addicted to designer paper......especially Basic Grey!!!! So Figgy Pudding begged to be used!! I thought I'd make a yummy little Winter Gift! I used a Hinged Window Tin that I also bought from Gina K. I made a little treat kit.........hot cocoa mix, peppermint sticks, marshmallows and some chocolates! I used Let It Snow. And lots of fun embellies and stickles and made a little snowman charm with some Shrinky Dink! I love that stuff!!

It's also time for making Jelly and Jam!!! I've got Blueberries and Chokecherries all cleaned and put in the freezer for jelly-making on cold days!! 'Cuz it smells soooooooo yummy bubbling away on the stove!!! I love to give homemade goodies as gifts........and how perfect is the Gina K. Summer Harvest stamp set for this!!! I know I should have waited until I actually **made** the jelly......but I had this idea so I just HAD to make the gift jar first!! LOL But it's now ready to fill and give away!!! Again, a little charm made with Shrinky Dink! And I'm slowly, slowly getting the hang of my Copic markers!!

Okay, well, I had some more ideas, but I got knocked down with a nasty sinus infection. So I'm taking a day off and trying to get better so I can have more fun in my stamp room!!! Hope you all have a FABulous week!!!!

Don't forget about the Blog Candy!!!!!

~ Have A Creative Day! ~

  8. Love your projects! I am a big fan of snowmen. Must be something in the air I sat down tonight and made 2 wintery/xmas cards still need to post them though.

This weather is crazy, hot then cold. Yesterday was so humid I was in capris and tank top and today I'm all bundled up in fleece pj's it's cold. Hope your sinus cold goes away quickly, I feel like I'm coming down with something but I'm trying to fit it.

  26. Hey girlfriend! Oh my gosh, I really love your yummy winter giftset--It's such eye candy! I tried to click on it just so I could drool over it close up for a while (but it didn't work); oh, it looks just marvelous!

NOW, I didn't know you were a jelly/jam maker-but I'm so happy you are and that you said you make yours in the winter! I bought a hot water canner set about 4 months ago (have never made homemade jams) with the intention of making some during the summer. NOw that it's Fall, I didn't think I could still make it since berries and such are out of season...but if I get some now and freeze them like you've done, we could be cooking up some jelly love in the kitchen *together* this winter, YAY! I'm so excited about that! (yes, I'm a dork) I hope you sinus cold clears up ASAP, you need to be healthy and happy in order to bring us more of your awesome creations this weekend! :) hugs, my blingtastic buddy!
